schedule faq's
What age groups can participate in the event?
Workshops are organised into two age groups - ages 2–5 years and 6–10 years. This is a guide to help facilitators provide age-appropriate activities. If you have children of different ages who wish to be in the same group, this will be accommodated on the day where space allows.
How are the KidFEST sessions scheduled each day?
Each activity is scheduled four times per day for each age group. Twice in the morning and afternoon. This gives families flexibility, so if you can’t make a morning session, you can still participate in the same activity later in the day.
Can we attend the same activity twice in one day?
We ask that each child attends each workshop once to give every child a fair chance to participate. Sessions are limited to 20 kids, so holding a spot twice isn't something we're able to accommodate.
That said, if a session has spare spots once it's underway, just check with the facilitator on the day and they'll be happy to help.
Why do you offer each activity multiple times?
Running each activity multiple times ensures:
- Families can choose a time that suits
- Children don’t miss out if they arrive later in the day
- There are more opportunities for everyone to participate
What’s the best way to plan my child’s day?
Have a look through the activity list and schedule on our website so your child knows what to expect. On the day, they'll move through sessions with their age group and can choose from the workshops available at each time slot.
How long does each session go for?
Each session is scheduled to run for 30 mins. There will be a 15 minute changeover time between sessions.
